Service Opportunity - Letters to Wounded Service Men and Women

Posted on Sep 4 2021 - 11:28am

Pathfinders:

Mrs. Wadman's friend has a daughter named Claire who is studying to be a nurse, and she is in the Army working at Walter Reed National Military Hospital caring for servicemen and women of the Second Battalion, First Marine Regiment who were wounded in the recent bombing in Afghanistan.  According to Col. Herrera, that unit is composed of Marines and Sailors.  Claire used to live here in our area, and her family are members of the St. Edward parish.  Claire and her four siblings all attended St. Edward Parish school.  Claire asked us to spread the word and requested letters expressing our gratitude to these service men and women and our best wishes for their speedy recovery.  See below for Col. Herrera's guidance on how to write a letter and receive one hour of service.
