Our charter organization is the St. Anne School located at Bear Brand Road, Laguna Niguel,CA 92677. Registration for Troop 872 Summer Camp at Camp Emerald Bay on Catalina Island Open - CLOSES 12/31/18

Pathfinders - registration for the Troop 872 summer camp will be at Camp Emerald Bay on Catalina Island July 21 to July 27, 2019.

Registration for the 2018 Troop 872 Urban Campout (with rank advancement and Eagle merit badge opportunities ) is now open!

Join Troop 872 at one of its favorite annual events - the "Urban Campout" scheduled for Saturday December 8 to Sunday December 9, 2018.  This event will include early afternoon advancement opportunities and fun recreational activities in the late afternoon and evening. Advancement opportunties are offered for Eagle required Cooking and Family Life merit badges,  counselor consultation on other Eagle required merit badges and rank advancement needs.

Troop Elections & Parent Meeting this Sunday, November 4th

The Troop will be conducting Elections during our next Troop & Parent Meeting this coming Sunday, November, 4th. Please keep in mind that Scouts who are pursuing  their Star, Life, and Eagle Ranks must serve actively in their troop for 4-6 months terms in one or more of the following positions of responsibility: patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, senior patrol leader, troop guide, Order of the Arrow troop representative, den chief, scribe, librarian, historian, quartermaster, bugler, junior assistant Scoutmaster, chaplain aide, instructor, webmaster, or outdoor ethics guide.   

 The next leadership term will begin November 4th and conclude May 5th. Leadership candidates 1) must submit an application (see attached) no later than Nov. 4th;  2) must attend the election meeting on Nov. 4th ; 3) be willing to maintain a high level of participation in all Troop activities during their term; 3) commit to attend the TFC Outing – March 22-24th and Camporee Outing – April 12-14th. Key Four members and Patrol Leaders must also participate in monthly PLC meetings and Pack Bridging Ceremonies in February. Friday

5-8 PM: Arrive, set up camp, troop campfires in designated rings, or off the ground tubs

8 PM: Crackerbarrel - SMs/SPLs

11 PM: Lights out

Saturday

8 AM: Flags

9-12:00 PM: Session 1

12 PM: Lunch, Trading post open

1-4 PM: Session 2

4-5 PM: Troop open house, Trading post open

8 PM: District Campfire

9-11 PM: Quiet time/troop campfires

Sunday

8 AM: Flags

8:15-8:45 AM: Scouts Own

9 AM: Break camp

Troop & Parent Meeting on Sunday, Oct. 7th @ 4 PM & Personal Management Merit Badge Session #2 @ 6 PM

Just a friendly reminder that we have our October Troop & Parent Meeting this coming Sunday, Oct 7th from 4-5:30 PM at St. Anne School in the MPR.  Both parent and scout(s) should attend the entire meeting. Scouts should wear their complete Field/Class A uniform including BSA socks and belt. The Personal Managment Merit Badge (Session #2) will follow afterward and begin at 6 PM.
